Susan Oliver - Managing Member

Susan Oliver is a wildlife photographer, lifelong musician, and retired corporate executive whose journey behind the camera began in an unexpected way. After earning a degree in Mathematics from The Ohio State University, she spent her career leading analytical departments in the credit card processing industry. Although she enjoyed solving complex business problems, she felt an unexplainable pull around 2010 to pick up a camera. What began as curiosity soon became a passion—and ultimately a second career devoted to the natural world.

Susan has played the French horn since she was eleven years old and continues to perform with the Gulf Coast Symphony since 2017. Music and photography have become complementary creative outlets, each requiring patience, discipline, and an appreciation for beauty and detail.

Living on a freshwater canal in southwest Florida transformed the way she sees wildlife. What started with photographing birds expanded into butterflies, caterpillars, spiders, river otters, and the countless stories unfolding every day in her own backyard. While she now travels internationally in search of wildlife—from Africa to Costa Rica and beyond—some of her favorite images have been made just outside her back door.

Susan’s photographs have received recognition in international competitions and are exhibited in galleries and art festivals, but she believes the greatest reward is sharing the wonder of the natural world and inspiring others to notice the extraordinary lives of the creatures around them.
