September 2025 3-D Featured Artist KoriAnn Evans

KoriAnn Evans is a gifted paper artist, who specializes in 3-Dimensional Pop-Up greeting cards.  They truly are small works of art, and unique in that they require both left and right brain work.  

KoriAnn has loved paper since she was a child. She likes to say that her paper dolls had the most beautiful wardrobes, because she used wrapping paper for their elaborate outfits. She fell in love with scrapbooking, and when she had children, she added pop up elements to their scrapbooks. A friend asked if she could make a 3D pop-up birthday card, and another asked if she could make a card for a military event - and KoriAnn’s love of paper became an artistic business.  

KoriAnn’s first step is imagining (right brain) elements that are complicated, yet beautiful enough to translate to a 3-dimensional card. Then she designs it on the computer (left brain – lots of math!) which is a complicated task, as many elements are two sided at various heights. Then she takes the design to a high-end architectural firm for laser cutting.  The final step is hand assembling and attaching to the card.
