October 2020 2D Featured Artist Chris Vernier

Chris Vernier-Pesce is a naturally-gifted artist. She was born and raised in Michigan, and since retiring, is living happily in Southwest Florida.

“I created my first art piece in 1971,” said Chris. “I worked the outdoor art circuit for a while; however, I left my passion behind to pursue a career. I was an organization and employee development consultant for General Motors Corporation. I also performed similar work with my own consulting company for clients in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South America along with the United States and Canada.”

Since retiring, she has resumed her painting with fervor. She frequently starts with a photograph from nature or of children to stimulate her creative processes. An award winning artist, she had her first one-woman show in Naples and has been featured in numerous magazines including having her work on the cover of Spotlight Magazine. She currently has work represented in Bealls, Leaders and Wilford and Lee stores.

With customers across the U.S., the Philippines and Cayman Islands, she has become popular in her field of artwork, and has sold over 300 reproductions of her painting, “Happy Toes” every year for the past ten years.
