November 2021 2-D Featured Artist Jane Ruprecht

Jane Ruprecht, aka Dr. Jane, is a renaissance person with a varied educational and experiential background. Since retiring from teaching she’s now able to spend more time working on her photography. “This has been a lifetime interest since middle school when I was involved in a photo club,” she said. 

Jane started showing her work in 2008, participating in local shows at galleries in Naples. Her work can be found in Physician’s Regional, NCH downtown, the new United Arts Gallery and Luggert Cancer Center.

She has been in shows at Rookery Bay, and the Von Liebig Art Center. Additionally, she participates in many of the major two-day shows throughout the season. She is serving as the President of the Naples Art Crafters and can be found at their shows on the second Saturday of each month, at Cambier park during season. 

She is a Master Naturalist and works with Audubon of the Western Everglades guiding day trips. She focuses on the impact of human interactions with nature as well as providing photography tips and lessons.

“The importance of getting people out to connect with nature and providing hands-on experience helps to create and enhance dialogue about the issues that surround us here in Florida,” she explained. “Participating in shows and selling my work allows me to share the beauty and wonder of art and opens the door for conversation education.”
