June 2019 2D Featured Artist Susan Gardner

Susan Gardner is a resident of North Port, Florida.  Her medium is acrylic and watercolor.  Her technique first started as tight and meticulous with realism and then it evolved to very fluid, whimsical and colorful paintings.  Being a Florida resident since her early 20s, she developed an appreciation for Florida landscape, scenery and wildlife for over 40 years.  She graduated Ringling College of Art and Design Illustration program in 1988.  Was recognized for visual display artist Lord and Taylor 1995 as well as first place watercolor award Art Association of Summit, New Jersey. 

She feels people love her art because it gives them a feeling of cheer, happiness and lightheartedness.
