July 2022 2-D Featured Artist Laura Black
Laura Black moved to Key West from New York City in 1997, lured by the warm weather and vibrant art and music community. “My work has been in many galleries and gift shops in Key West for the past 25 years,” she said. “I moved from Key West to Fort Myers Beach two years ago where I’ve been affiliated with the Art Association there. My love for the beach, sea life, tropical birds and nature has influenced my artwork.”
When visiting her vacation home in Sedona, she was inspired to produce artwork depicting the red rocks prevalent in Arizona. Also, as a musician, she produced works of her favorite female rockers while residing there. Her eclectic style has proven popular with her many followers.
