Joan Roberts - Associate Member
As a Cape Coral artist, prior Chicago artist, Joan paints in oil and acrylic and has developed her “Roberts” style of painting. The design flows with excellent use of light and the eyes dance around the painting that captures a magical essence.
Joan attended the Art Institute of Chicago and has studied in Connecticut, Florida, Michigan and Wisconsin. She attended painting classes at Cape Coral Art Studio with Gale Bennett, Cape Coral, and Marco Bronzini, Naples. Classes in Chicago included Scott Tallman, acclaimed portrait painter at the Pallet and Chisel in Chicago, and Tom Trausch’s “in plein air” classes in Galena and Starved Rock, IL.
She teaches art classes at the Pine Island Art League, Herons Glen, North Ft. Myers, and the Art Center of Bonita. She taught at Cape Coral Art Studio and Cape Coral Art League.
Joan participates in the Center for the Arts of Bonita Springs Juried Art Exhibitions, Cape Coral Art League’s Exhibitions and Naples von Liebig Art Center’s events and has won numerous awards in each of the art centers.
The paintings are extraordinary unique and would be an outstanding focal point for any room. An art connoisseur/collector is compelled to appreciate the emotion of the paintings, thus the appeal of Joan’s work is a good investment for the future.
