February 2026 2-D Featured Artist Tetiana Risk

Tetiana Risk is from Ukraine, and left there during the war to protect her two sons.  She has been in Southwest Florida for 3 years, living in Pine Island, Naples, and settling in Cape Coral.

She is a professionally trained artist, who while working full and time and raising her children, had little time to pursue her art. She is so appreciative that she can finally devote time to exploring her creativity. 

She was inspired by artists overseas who worked with cut mirrors – a technique she did not see widely used in America. Through experimentation and trial and error, she developed her own approach, creating three-dimensional paintings using modeling paste, mirrors, epoxy resin, and glow-in-the-dark paint. Her work focuses primarily on nature and living creatures, bringing depth, texture, and light into each piece.

There is no single source of inspiration for her art. Creativity comes spontaneously—through moments, forms, and details that capture my attention. She has completed numerous commissioned works, most of which explore natural themes through a variety of mixed media techniques.
