February 2020 2D Artist Patsy Dautle

The excitement of drawing began at an early age as Patsy did renditions of the seasons on the chalk boards in elementary school. In high school it was fashion drawing that caught her attention. Over the years, she took a number of classes ranging from stained glass, porcelain doll making and pottery to needle work and then acrylic painting.  She began taking private lessons in watercolor and a “new world” opened its doors to her. She has studied extensively with national and local artists and has won a number of awards. Her work is found in homes and offices from Maine to Florida and Michigan to Puerto Rico. After a 50-year career in nursing, she traded in her scrubs and stethoscope for an easel and paint brushes to capture colors, emotions and passions of life on canvas.
