December 2023 2-D Featured Artist Dana Enders

Dana Enders is a well-known plein air pastel painter. She is an award-winning artist who actively participates in local and national shows and plein air competitions. Dana started vacationing on Sanibel Island over 25 years ago and relocated to North Fort Myers in 2020 from Atlanta. She received her BFA degree in graphic design from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1993.

Her years as a graphic designer have naturally influenced her painting style. Dana's paintings have a strong sense of design and composition, as well as a dynamic use of color and shape. As a plein air painter, Dana finds that painting on location allows all her senses to play an active role in uniquely summarizing a scene's light, color and atmosphere. Dana is an active member of the Fort Myers Beach Art Association and the Southwest Florida Pastel Society.  Dana is the Coordinator of the FMBAA's plein air group that paints weekly in and around Fort Myers and the surrounding areas.
