December 2022 2-D Featured Artist John Rizza

John Rizza, who moved to Southwest Florida in 2019, received his art education at the New York Art Students League, Woodstock Art School and New York State University at New Paltz working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He has also taken a number of workshops in person and online.

 His weekly plein air outings keep him busy and enjoying his Florida retirement lifestyle. “I love sharing my painting experience with fellow artists from Lee, Collier and Charlotte Counties,” said John. “I continue to seek my voice with each work and am influenced by Impressionism, Fauvism and Expressionism. Additionally, I joined a life drawing group and look forward to merging this experience into my landscape works.”
