Glenda Chamberlain states she rarely follows the rules when making her work and instead goes by her intuition, trusting the process and enjoying the serendipitous textures, shapes and colors that are created.

“My hand-built pieces are a combination of intent and embracing the unexpected,” she says. “I use color, shape, texture and an added hint of whimsy to convey my deep love for the plants and creatures of the ocean.”

She does both smaller scale functional pieces including starfish dishes, whale trays, and vases as well as nonfunctional art pieces such as tentacle sculptures and organic ocean inspired decorative containers.
