August 2022 2-D Featured Artist Michael Roush

Michael Roush is a renowned Pennsylvania and Florida artist who taught for over 40 years, ultimately heading the art district department for the last 18 years of his career. His work acquired a lifetime of acknowledgement from his peers, fans, friends and family.

Michael graduated from Kutztown Teacher’s College, now Kutztown University, with a degree in Art Education. He drew, painted and created pottery and animation videos for over 30 years with his students. Outside the classroom, his inspiration often came from his surroundings, travels or his whimsical musings.

“Since moving to Cape Coral, my recent work incorporates more tropical themes and colors,” said Michael. These days, he is known to doodle regularly for the fun and entertainment of his many friends on Facebook.
