April 2025 2-D Featured Artist Suzanne Holt
Suzanne Holt is a transplant to Florida by way of Ohio and New Jersey. She specializes in mixed media artwork, mostly fabric on canvas, but dabbles with alcohol ink, upcycled art and modeling paste. She is addicted to fabric and can’t get enough of its colors, textures, patterns and sparkles. Holt’s inspiration comes from the amazing scenery around her, and she hopes her work is reflective in some small way of God’s creation.
“My work has been in the Key West Art Center, Frangipani, Island Arts and Shady Palm in Marathon,” said Suzanne. “My work has also been featured on the Fringe Theatre’s playbill in Key West.” While in the Keys, she was awarded a grant from the Anne McKee Artist Fund and later served on the Board. “I also taught art classes for children at summer camp and to mentally challenged adults,” she added. “I truly enjoy sharing my love of art with others.”
Since moving to Cape Coral, Suzanne joined the Cape Coral Art Center and is an artist at Arts for ACT in downtown Fort Myers. “I love learning something new, and always experimenting with new techniques and new materials,” she concluded.
