Featured Artist Program

Monthly Featured Artist

Since opening our doors, Harbour View Gallery has enjoyed a very successful Monthly Featured Artist program, both with 2-D and 3-D artwork. We run this program year-round.

This program offers artists a place to show and sell their designs to the public for a one month period. During the month, the gallery features these two artists on the website, in local magazine publications, and hosts a wine reception in their honor.

All artists that apply must fill out our Featured Artist Application and submit it to the gallery with pictures of their work and a bio. These applications are reviewed by our gallery managing members. Artist will show either 2-D or 3-D art, but not both.

The selection of candidates is based on the following criteria:

• Must be a local artist

• Original designs

• Quality of work

• Price Range

• Adequate inventory

After the selection process is completed, the Featured Artist Director contacts the artist and is the primary contact person for all communications. Communications are done primarily through email. If accepted, the artist and Director choose a month for showing. Then the artist must sign the Artist's Consignment Agreement and get it back to the program director quickly to insure the agreed upon month is locked in. A 40% commission is paid to the gallery on all sales.
